Services for Business Owners
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of North San Diego opened on July 6, 1999. The Center is hosted by MiraCosta College and funded in part by the U.S Small Business Administration, and MiraCosta College. Our service area covers all of San Diego County north of Interstate 8.
Our consulting services are provided at NO COST (A small fee for most seminars and workshops may apply.) Business Development Training – the SBDC’s “Business Orientation” seminar gives you basic information on the skills and money you’ll need to launch a business venture.
The North San Diego Small Business Development Center is dedicated to increasing the economic vitality of the community. We do this by helping small businesses and entrepreneurs build a foundation for success. The Center offers assistance in the following areas:

Training on Topics that Focus on Growth
SBDC’s comprehensive training programs arm business owners with knowledge and information that they can use immediately. Sessions are targeted to help entrepreneurs improve operations, explore new opportunities, reduce costs, and become a more profitable business. Monthly sessions are also available for start-up entrepreneurs who need to learn the essentials of business planning and market feasibility. Over 200 seminars are held each year at convenient times and locations across the region.
Entrepreneurs gain greatly from fast-paced events facilitated by industry experts. Through partnerships with local sponsors and chambers of commerce, SBDC seminars are offered at a nominal fee with some delivered at no-charge!
